searching. (new song)

V1: i long to see the good
in this massive corruption of humanity
i get so sucked in; it takes control
this rushing whirl of insanity.
but i know that they're is always one constant.
and that I can drag myself through.
as long, as long as I know
i can make it back to you.

C: i'll crawl, i'll crawl as long as it takes,
i'm counting on you to make sure i don't break.
at the end of the tunnel there's a light and i'm praying,
that "it's darkest before the dawn" is a genuine saying.

V2:the mystery that lies ahead swarms my thoughts
and i can't think clearly anymore.
there's gotta be a window open here somewhere,
because it's obvious god just closed a door.
but i can rest assured now
because though the future's unclear,
and though i'm wondering where you went,
i'm pretty sure your love is here.

C:i'll crawl, i'll crawl as long as it takes,
i'm counting on you to make sure i don't break.
at the end of the tunnel there's a light and i'm praying,
that "it's darkest before the dawn" is a genuine saying.

B:no longer does this tornado of worldly things surround me.
i've planted my feet and with you, i'll stay grounded.

C:i'll crawl, i'll crawl as long as it takes,
i'm counting on you to make sure i don't break.
at the end of the tunnel there's a light and i'm praying,
that "it's darkest before the dawn" is a genuine saying.

i'll crawl, i'll crawl as long as it takes,
i'm counting on you to make sure i don't break.
at the end of the tunnel there's a light and i'm praying,
that "it's darkest before the dawn" is a genuine saying.

i feel like writing my thoughts.

so i just thought i'd share. truth is, i'm pissed. with you, everything you've done, and everything i know you're gonna do eventually. i was so excited when you came into my life, something new, something interesting. you've ripped me apart, with your biting words and your minute-by-minute judgements. stop it. i really can't take this anymore. and you probably won't read this, since you don't even have a blog... but even if you did you wouldn't realize i was talking about you. because you simply don't CARE. you actually don't give a whateverwordyouwanttoputhere about me, or at least not enough to see what you're doing to me. how bad you have left me here to bleed. so go on, stick your nose in the air and leave me alone. and no, i'm not just in a bad mood. i'm actually in a fairly good mood, and it feels so good to type this all out.

... think this would make a good inspiration for a song?!

Mel

let it rain. (new song).

you try, you try to stay above the water as it's rising.
you fight, you fight; in this war's no compromising.
you swim, you swim but you can't go on like this.
you tread, you tread with all that you can give.

just let the flood overtake you.

drown the pain.
let it rain, let it rain.
the grief will drain.
let it rain, let it rain.

you keep, you keep on fighting but eventually you'll lose.
you must, you must decide to resist or not, just chose.
you can't, you can't win against nature's stronger power.
you know, you know that this water's rising by the hour.

just let it wash you away.

drown the pain.
let it rain, let it rain.
the grief will drain.
let it rain, let it rain.

eventually, the flood will go down.
until then, keep your chin up, and trust that you won't drown, completely,
you know you can't die discreetly.

drown the pain.
let it rain, let it rain.
the grief will drain.
let it rain, let it rain.

for a pessimist, i'm pretty optimistic.

Why, hello there. I'm Melody. Most everyone calls me either Melody or Mel. I go by whichever. I love to write songs, dance, and sing my heart out. I also talk a whole lot and all of my friends know it's quite a challenge getting me to shut up. I'll probably publish some of my songs on here, but maybe not. It just depends on my mood. I love my family and friends, God, Paramore, The House Bunny, and Twilight. I have trouble seeing the silver lining, but sometimes the pain that comes with that struggle is the best for writing music, so it's a give-and-take sort of thing. Well, I'm rambling already.
Simply,
Mel
